About Us

Canyon Elks Lodge #2887 — photo 1

Nestled along FM 2590 in Canyon, Texas, Elks Lodge #2887 stands as a beacon of community spirit and American values. Founded by local ranchers and educators, our lodge has grown from humble beginnings into a thriving hub where members gather to share meals, celebrate milestones, and give back. Every Friday evening, the scent of slow-smoked brisket and fresh cornbread fills our hall as families reconnect over bingo and live music. Our walls showcase photos of past rodeo fundraisers, scholarship recipients, and veterans we’ve honored. From the red rock cliffs of Palo Duro Canyon to the golden wheat fields that surround us, we embody the rugged independence and warm hospitality that define West Texas. Whether you’re a lifelong resident or new to the area, the Elks extend a genuine welcome that feels like coming home.

What We Offer

Our lodge offers weekly family dinners, monthly bingo nights with cash prizes, and seasonal dances featuring local country bands. Members enjoy access to our fully stocked bar, private meeting rooms, and a spacious outdoor patio overlooking the plains. We proudly sponsor youth scholarships, veteran support programs, and holiday toy drives that deliver hundreds of gifts each December. Special events include our annual Flag Day ceremony, summer BBQ cook-offs, and a lively New Year’s Eve party. Non-members can rent our hall for weddings, reunions, and corporate gatherings, complete with catering coordination and full bar service. Through the Elks National Foundation, we also provide disaster relief grants and drug-awareness education to local schools.
